The Board of Directors of the Botsford Family Historical Association is pleased to announce the First Annual Henry and Elizabeth Botsford Scholarship. This scholarship is made possible by the trust fund bequeathed to the Association by Alice Botsford and is intended to promote both higher education among Botsford Family cousins and an interest in family heritage.

To be eligible, an applicant must be a paid-up member of the Association, either as an individual member or part of a family membership. The Board of Directors will be checking the membership status of all applicants, so be sure that when you receive your bill for annual dues this spring, you promptly send the correct payment in.

The application for the scholarship can be obtained from Steve Botsford, Vice President at sbotsfor@twcny.rr.com. Deadline for submission is April 1, 2009.

Who was chosen in 2008

The Alfred Pomeroy Botsford cane went to the eldest gentlemen to attend the annual reunion - for 2006, William H. Johnson, former President, 83 years young

For the woman who traveled the furthest to come to the 2006 reunion, there was a tie: Mary Lou and Mabel Williams. So both were awarded the sterling silver letter opener in memory of Sun Dana Wooley.

The Youngest Botsford award went to twelve year old William Palmer of Rockville, MD. Bill received the engraved silver teaspoon.
